We're excited to share that Buckhill d.o.o. in Croatia has officially transitioned to a Joint Stock Company, now known as Buckhill d.d. This marks a significant milestone in our company's journey, opening up exciting new possibilities for growth, employee ownership, and greater transparency. 

What does this change mean? 

In Croatia, a "d.o.o." (društvo s ograničenom odgovornošću) is a limited liability company, while a "d.d." (dioničko društvo) is a joint stock company. This conversion to a d.d. structure brings several key advantages: 

• Increased Transparency and Accountability: d.d. companies have stricter reporting requirements and greater public transparency, fostering trust and accountability among stakeholders, including the establishment of a supervisory board. 

• Enhanced Growth Potential: The d.d. structure allows for easier access to capital markets and greater flexibility in raising funds for future expansion, including access to the Zagreb Stock Exchange. 

• Employee Ownership: Most importantly for our team, this change enables our employees ("Bucks") to become shareholders in Buckhill, aligning our collective success and fostering a deeper sense of ownership.

Becoming a d.d. not only supports these goals but also sets the stage for an eventual listing on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
